چکیده
To better understand the coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical processes in Callovo-Oxfordian (COx) claystone formations induced by heat emitting high-level radioactive waste, different scales of in-situ heater experiments have been conducted ANDRA Meuse/Haute-Marne Underground Research Laboratory (M/HM URL) at Bure France. In order to prove predictability numerical codes for a site-scale repository, two experiments, small-scale (TED) and full-scale experiment (ALC), intensively investigated teams within international project DECOVALEX 2019. this study, we present results obtained further developing using finite element OpenGeoSys (OGS) simulator with novel approaches. (1) A failure index-dependent permeability model is introduced into THM formulation consider effect changes excavation-damaged zone (EDZ) on pore pressure development during excavation subsequent heating phases, respectively. (2) more general equation state water according International Association Properties Water Steam (IAWPS) taking account vapour behaviour implemented simulate increase high temperature heating. The complete comparison study presented Task E synthesis paper [46].

The coupled thermal-hydraulic-mechanical behaviour of a large-scale in situ heating experiment
The thermo-hydraulic-mechanical behaviour of a large in situ heating test, the Buffer/Container Experiment (BCE), carried out at Atomic Energy of Canada’s underground research laboratory, is considered. The work can be seen as an extension of the authors’ previous research, investigating the behaviour of a large-scale test, the socalled ‘isothermal test’, to now include heating effects. Suggest...
متن کاملA Pore-scale Hydro-mechanical Coupled Model for Geomaterials
We present a model for fluid-saturated granular media coupled flow and mechanical deformation. The fluid is assumed to be incompressible and the solid part is assumed to be a cohesive granular material. Forces exerted by the fluid in motion are determinated and applied to solid particles. We derive a finite volumes formulation of the flow problem and we couple it to a discrete element method (D...
متن کاملPreferred Orientations and Anisotropy in Shales: Callovo-oxfordian Shale (france) and Opalinus Clay (switzerland)
Anisotropy in clay-rich sedimentary rocks is receiving increasing attention. Seismic anisotropy is essential in the prospecting for petroleum deposits. Anisotropy of diffusion has become relevant for environmental contaminants, including nuclear waste. In both cases, the orientation of component minerals is a critical ingredient and, largely because of small grain size and poor crystallinity, t...

متن کاملThermo-hydro-mechanical Coupling in Clay Barriers
A complete thermo-hydro-mechanical model is presented to tackle the complex coupling problems encountered in clay barriers. A detailed formulation coupling the heat, moisture (liquid water and water vapour) and, air transfer in a deformable unsaturated soil is given. The formulation of the AlonsoGens’s mechanical model for unsaturated soil is also incorporated. The sensitivity to some parameter...
